 James F. Ousterhout was born May 2, 1932 at home in South Gate. He was in the U.S. Naval Air Reserve. He married Gloria Dyck, from SGHS S'52 class. There are two children, James Jr. and Darla. Jim was the "Jim" of Phil & Jims, an appliance store, which opened its first store on Tweedy Blvd. in South Gate. They later expanded having stores in other surrounding cities. This company is now out of business. Jimmy died from cancer on Oct 2, 1987.....
