  Earl attended Victoria Ave, South Gate Junior High and South Gate High School.  Upon graduation in 1959 he enrolled in East Los Angeles College with a physics major.  After two years, he transferred to Cal State L.A. where he earned his BS in 1964 and his MS in 1967.  His first job after graduation was with Korad Corporation in Santa Monica. He worked there for two years as a Laser Physicist. His next jobs were at Image Optics, Inc and Apollo Lasers doing much of the same thing. To supplement their income, Earl taught night school at Cal State L.A. and East Los Angeles College.

  Earl married Christina Lynn Correa in 1967. They lived in Monterey Park until she graduated from Cal State L.A in 1969 and started teaching high school math in West L.A.  Their daughter, Vibeke was born in 1971 shortly after buying their first house in Camarillo,  California.

   Earl started to work at the Science Center, the corporate research labs for North American Rockwell in 1971. He stayed there for nine years working on optics, lasers, semi-conductors and solar cells.

    In 1978, he and a colleague formed Amanuensis Computer Systems, Inc, to provide computer software for Digital Equipment Corporation computers. With the fall of the Soviet State, along went many government related jobs in Southern California..

  When Amanuensis folded, Earl created Cory Computer Systems, which he still owns and operates..  Earl’s next full time job was at Health Net in Woodland Hills.. In 1993 he left Health Net to go into the consulting business… This took him up North where this started a long-term relationship with Marine General Hospital where he has worked since 1994 in their IT department as System Administrator and Webmaster.

  In 1999 they moved into a duplex near Lake Merrit.  Cory Computer Systems is now housed in the downstairs half of the duplex. Through his company, Earl has over 30 websites that he designed, developed and maintains.
