After I graduated from SGHS (W1958), I attended East Los Angeles College
and completed my AA degree in Engineering. I then transferred to Cal
Poly at San Luis Obispo and enrolled in the Electrical Engineering
Department. I graduated in the summer of 1963 with a degree in
Electrical Engineering and had to immediately go on 2 years of active
duty with the navy as a 2nd class electronics technician to
complete my Naval Reserve college deferment requirements.

Upon
completion of my navy active duty requirements, I was discharged and
settled in LA to attend the Masters Program at Long Beach State. I got a
job in an Aero Space firm in the area designing computers and radar
equipment. From there, I moved to Sacramento to work (as a design
engineer on pumping plants) for the California Department of Water
Resource on the California Adequate Project.
Nearing completion of that project, I changed jobs to the Sacramento
Municipal Utility District (SMUD). While at SMUD, I worked as a design
engineer designing substations and EHV transmissions lines, managed the
Transmission Planning group, the Environmental Licensing group and ended
my career in 1997 when I retired as Superintendent of Power Operations.
Currently I
live with my lovely wife of 35 years of marriage at Sun City Lincoln
Hills in Lincoln, CA which is about 30 miles north east of Sacramento.
Besides enjoying the retired life here at Sun City, I am currently in
the Gold Country Senior Band playing a baritone horn which I also played
in the Huntington Park Youth Band while I was at SGHS.
"Our son graduated from UC Irvine and got his masters at Cornell University in NY. He has a great wife and job in Irvine working for a software company, PivX."
