           Summer 57

Wow it`s hard to catch up 50 years…I`ll try. I started working for Pacific Press as an apprentice printer during the summer of `56 (lied about my age) Worked swing shift during my senior year and during two years at Compton College, graduated in `59 with an AA degree in aeronautics. Enlisted in the Coast Guard Reserve in `61 for 8 years. Continued to work at Pacific Press until `66, then took a job with The Los Angeles Times selling advertising. Received the "Golden Handshake" in `91. I had been working part time for Sunrise Aviation, located at John Wayne Airport since `90 as a flight instructor and continue to do so today.

I relocated from South Gate to Corona del Mar in `83. Been married and divorced twice now unmarried. I have a married daughter and a 2 year old granddaughter I see a lot of both of them. Since `91 I have traveled quite a bit, Europe, China, Australia, New Zealand, etc. Hobbies are traveling, baby sitting and hacking around the golf course (sure glad I pilot a plane better than I drive a golf ball).

Anyone knowing of a deceased classmate please contact me with the information. Looking forward to our upcoming class reunion.

Sincerely, Larry Tyson
