   I attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point N,Y, N,Y. and graduated in June of 1943. I sailed on merchant ships through World War II as a Bridge Officer (mates).
   I entered U.C.L.A. in 1946 and graduated in 1949. I reentered as a grad student to become a teacher...
  My teaching career was as follows:
Paso Robles High School.. 1951-1952
Hollenbeck Jr. High… 1952-1955
South Gate Sr. High.. 1955-1963
   I worked as a head counselor as follows:
Nightingale Jr. High.. 1963-1966
Garfield Sr. High.. 1966-1971
Marshall Sr. High.. 1971
    I still cant believe I had 15 full time counselors at Garfield… I ended my career at Burbank Jr. High in my last 10 years..

   Married for 50 years, my wife and I had two girls.. One is a CEO at a large Co, the other is a teacher at a elementary school..
  My wife died three years ago of Breast Cancer..
